Room 2: Algaida
Room number 2 – Algaida: The room is named after the village of the same name because the view from the terrace, looking to the west and between the olive trees there is a lovely perspective of the valley that gently opens up towards the village of Algaida. The private spacious terrace leads directly to the immense olive grove and a well established hackberry tree sits right in front of the terrace but does not obstruct the beautiful views. The sunsets in particular are something special.
The bedroom is three steps down from the entrance and adjacent bathroom. It is very spacious (38.5 square metres) and contains a large double bed 2.10 metres wide or two individual beds each 1.05 metres wide. The room will also accommodate a third individual (auxiliary) bed if required. There is a closet, individually controlled air-conditioning (hot and cold according to the season), DTT and satellite television, HDMI and USB sockets for your laptops, gadgets, a mini-bar and a safe.
The private bathroom consists of a walk-in shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and a hairdryer.
Algaida is very popular for good restaurants offering traditional Mallorcan and international cuisine, there are some excellent locally produced wines. For an interesting morning trip, every Friday is market day. A visit to “Gordiola” the historic glassblowing factory and museum is well worth the time. By the way, the lamps adorning “Gossalba” were handmade in “Gordiola”. To appreciate the beauty of Mallorca, drive up to the “Cura Sanctuary” and Puig de Randa for a breathtaking drive and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the city of Palma.
